Wow :hi: Absolutely beautiful plants, Claudio! Are you gonna leave the flowers on the Jalapeno Master? Both 2 seeds sprouted here ;)

Yes; if they will produced some pods, all seeds can be considered "pure" (not cross-pollinated)

Dam, if you are interested in wild species, you should like the articles published here:

http://www.pepperfri...-wild-capsicum/

There is also an article in English, but the ones in Italian language are interesting too, they contains a lot of nice photos of wild Capsicum.

I envy the trip to brazil. So beautiful flowers and plants too.

http://chiliwiki.fi/index.php?title=Villit_chilit this is our chiliwiki where we supposed to write about different plants, someday it should be bigger and covers a lot more varieties. Its in finnish but you get the point. Italian language is very interesting too so its kind a good that its italian.

http://infernochili.net/?page=villichilit There is a bit more information about wild ones. Written by a man who "brought" capsicums to bigger audience in finland. Capsicum is vegetable of the year in finland, 2013

The Chiliwiki is very interesting.

The second article linked was the first source about wild Capsicum which I read.

Most species are very well documented, but the SE Brazilian Capsicum are no longer misteryous as in that article ;)

I saw live almost all of them and our article contains a lot of photos,

By the way, the species documented under C.buforum is not at all a C.buforum, but perhaps a strange variety of C.eximium with unusual corolla colors.

I grew it few years ago and sowed it this year too; already looking at the seeds we can say it's not a SE Brazilian species, because they are not black.

Vladan, the "stranastrana" (that is "very strange") has no anthers, so it can only produce pods by cross-pollination; new plants from those seeds will be always hybrids ...

Besides this, the plant seems to have also problem to be cross-pollinated; it produces many pods, but very few of them have some seeds.

None of the seeds I collected germinated, so maybe also this plant is not fertile at all :(

I've produced new plants by cuttings and hope to be able to collect more seeds next season.

SE Brazilian capsicums are still mystery to us. Maybe few plants has been grown in here at some point but I am not sure even about that. I noticed that you have commented in our forum wild capsicum section some facts about parvifoliums. Capsicum Tovarii is quite rare here, Lanceolatum and Flexuosum are like Jalapeño, everyone who wants those is possible to receive from our community. I have checked you earlier posts, you have already mentioned this inferno chili site so it was not new to you :logik:

I have also checked a bit about your previous years diaries... Schottianum, Buforum :shok: Incredibile! I need to seriously read those diaries with great passion. And about your trip, I need to read it over and over again. So beautiful plants and flowers.

Notti da brivido, temperatura molto prossima a zero! :brr:
