junglerain 8 Posted April 20, 2010 What a sight! All pods are wonderful, but my eyes always return to that C.Tovarii ... wonderful! Can you tell the growing conditions to get so healthy plant, full of flowers and pods? That is, it's grown on soil or pot? Shadow or full sun? Dry or wet conditions? etc Thanks! I have been growing the C. Tovarii straight in the soil, It mainly gets 50% shade during the day, I water it every second day, (no fertilizer) now it has many flowers and fruit, but it will be winter here in June so I will have to transplant it to a pot then and bring indoors.... junglerain 8 Posted April 20, 2010 great! really great! very unusual pods, but incredibly beautiful... would you please tell me something more about Angkor Sunrise and PI 441620 ? in the last photo... is the real colour? amazing! ps angkor sunrise looks like frutescens , isn't? what peppers of these are better to eat "raw"? Hi Franz, the plant is a C. Fruitescens, approximatly 1 mtr tall but not a heavy producer of fruit, the pods are still maturing, so I haven't tasted them yet... Lonewolf 18,622 Posted April 21, 2010 Chile peppers everywhere! Very nice! So it seems C.Tovarii likes partial shadow and not too much water ... Pods take a very loooong time to ripen, so you will probably forced to repot it and recover inside in winter ...
