I don't know the difference between that two varieties of C.galapagoense ... but I'm growing a lot this year, with many different names and they all seems quite similar.

I grew one in 2008, a lot of flowers, but only 1 pod (ripen); I've still the plant ... let's see if this year it will produce better (having some other plant of the same species with which to hybridize).

You're right! The C.Galapagoense is one of the most interesting wild; great plant, strange pubescens leaves and, when young or in other moments (not always), a very intense smell.

I verified ... I've both the same varieties of C.galapagoense you mentioned (and other)

The CGN 22208 however didn't sprout.

I've 2 plants of the other one (97450083) ...

I think our source was the same (Vladan).

The trick to get a lot of seeds in this case is probably to find the right conditions to get flowers setting up pods; I had hundreds of flowers, but only one setup a pod ...

This year I'll try varying the growing conditions, wet and shady instead of sunny and dry.

I don't know if there is any difference bettwen the pods. I buy only 97450083 and I ask the difference about the two plants.

one seed 2 weeks after it germinated and I beheaded. the other 4 after 4 weeks without germinating I thought they were dead, then I have thrown :afro::sorry:

For my part, my peppers are wintered in my house

before they are sprayed with a solution of neem and soap to avoid aphids

Welcome Sylvie!

Why don't you present yourself in the proper section?

Your C.Galapagoense is very nice! Did you get already mature pods?

Today I lost two of last pods on my plants ... yesterday they were there, almost ripe; today they disappeared ... damned birds B)

However I got many dozens of pods

It's a nice idea to treat plants before bring them indoor; otherwise aphids will come within few days ...

I had a very nice harvest on a Galapagoense plant this year. 50+ ripe pods. :drinks: I'm very happy. I got my original seeds from a German friend.
