Geez

I begin a new season - 2016. :yahoo:
The final list isn't ready yet, because I'm waiting some more of packages with new seeds. But some plants are already planted.
22952610470_42946133a1_z.jpg
In total there will be about 100 varieties, as in 2015. As usual, I plan to have plants of various species (C. chinense, C. annuum, C. baccatum, С. frutescens, C.pubescens and Wild). The most part of them is new varieties (for me).

For repeated cultivation I chose:
- varieties, at which I couldn't define species;
- varieties, which in 2015 were grown up not quite successfully, but have bigger potential, in my opinion;
- unknown varieties, which my russian colleague found in the markets in Tanzania and Uganda (for verify of stability);
- traditional Jalapeños
And also some hybrids.

And... some photos which to me seem the most interesting today :)

Chiclayo х Aji Cristal (C.chinense х C.baccatum) F1

Photo 2 - germination 20.11.2015

All seedlings turned out mutants. :turned:

Mascapöcs. In my opinion, it is C.annuum. All flower buds are single :unknw:

Santa Rosa Blanco \ PI 257142 (C. chinense)

At first I thought that this variety is chinense.
But now it seems to me that this is annuum.

Hi Gala! Your C. flexuosum is very nice!
I'm growing a C. flexuosum too and it looks a little bit different from this one you have (which is the same of Lonewolf and other pepperFriends)..
So my question is: could you please (if you know) tell me how many different kind of C. flexuosum exist? I'm trying to classify my plant :fool:

Thanks!

Grazie mille ! :)

According to USDA there are 7 varieties of Capsicum flexuosum.
But I don't think that this information is complete and precise.
Federico, I have the second plant of flexuosum which from seeds pepperfriends too.
Sorry, photo is bad. This plant has nearly died (as well as others because I have put to the defective earth).

25381688211_c09f050c16.jpg
Today both plants are still too young to speak about differences. But I have noticed such facts:
1. Seeds of PI 631154 are slightly more largely, than seeds of C. flexuosum (from pepperfriends).
2. Cotyledons of PI 631154 are clearly more largely too.
It is necessary to watch even more... :rolleyes:
