Soon it will be time to move the plants outside, actually I have some of them outside during the days. Here is a picture from 2007. It shows my small balcony with mostly peppers. It is hard to see the pods, but they where there;) As you see my balvonyspace i very limeted and this means that some of my peppers grow in very small pots, like Chimayo from last year that where growing in the white pot in the picture.

This year I grow aubergine for the first time, it is called Ophelia (mini aubergine). The first flower 9/5 2008.
Back to the peppers, Blondie Capsicum baccatum now have flowers.

Kaleidoscope was recomended to me from a pepperfriend, it has no or very little heat. Thai Hot is a capsicum annuum from Thailand and it is easier to grow here in Sweden (from what I have been told) then the Thai bird peppers that belong to Capsicum frutescens. There are two versions of Monkey Face, one yellow and one red -I grow the yellow one.
This year I am growing some seeds from sundried Aji Panca. You can buy these in some shops as you can buy Aji Amarillo, Ancho, Pasilla, Facing Heaven, Chilhuacle Negro (i grow this one too), Guajillo, New Mexico, Cascabell. From what I have read Aji Panca is a Capsicum chinense. But now I know there is also a Capsicum baccatum version. The first flower from the plant.

White Fire should be a hot and tasty Capsicum annuum.
White Fire should also be prolific and early. When the finaly mature in red they might easily be misstaken for a small bellpepper.

First a picture from the indoor forest.
These three Capsicum chienense should be very similar. From left to right Trinidad Seasoning, Tobago Seasoning and St. Lucia Island. I belive they are mild to medium hot.
The Bulgarian Carrot is well on its way.

The Brown Rocoto is the only Capsicum pubescens vareity that I grow from seed this year (I also have from last year Locoto Pi 387838, Turbo Pube and Cap 1492)
Fenir Capsicum annuum sometimes have heartshaped pods , it is my wife´s favorite
In Sweden this one is called Grekisk Paprika which means Paprika (pepper) from Greece.
There is a big differences in the height of my Capsicum chiense plants.
From left to right (and tall to short)
Bode (very tall already, almost as high as the tall baccatums), Long Chocolate Habanero (also tall), Cili Goronong, Maraba. All four was planted 2008-01-09.
In March I finaly got some seeds from Shiny Red Capsicum chinense that germinated. I now have two small Shiny red plants. I have been looking for this variety quite long, so I am very happy!

Some of the plants now grow in somewhat larger pots than before. I dont have enough space to give them any bigger. One of the plants in the picture are still in the small pot (9x9 cm)

Many of the peppers now have flowers, Bulgarian Carrot and Jaloro Hybrid F2 have pods. I moved some of the plants to our summerhouse. I reppoted the peppers at the sommerhouse, including the plants I saved from last year (Peruvian White Habanero, Amazon Chile Roma, Locato PI387838, Turbo Pube, Cap 1492, Poblano(this one looks almost dead))

The beautiful Rocopica is a hybridised variety which resulted from a cross between a Rocoto, capsicum pubescens and Ulupica capsicum cardenasii.

The Jaloro F? now have four pods. The pods are darkgreen - it looks more like an regular Jalapeno than the Jaloro F1. Jaloro is a hybrid (F1) so my plant which I call Jaloro is actually Jaloro F2. I think I should call it "Jaloro Hybrid F2".
I grow some hybrids this year. If you look at my Tasmanian Red, you can see that it is not a pure Capsicum Chinense, It seems to be a cross with a annuum. I dont know if it stable, but I hope so. It looks amazing at a pepperfriends page Tasmansian RED
I also grow Trindiad Scorpion FG. It is a hybrid from Trindad Scorpion. Dont know what generation I am growing. F2 or F3? I hope it will turn out like this Trinidad Scorpion FG

as expected Jalaro is the first chile pepper of 2008 to set flowers. Many of my peppers (annuum, baccatum and chinense)now have flowerbuds. Many people think I am "crazy" when I keep the flowerbuds and flowers - but thats me:) Maybe someday I will start picking flowers and buds, someday...

Siviri Biber capsicum annuum its a very sweet not so hot chile pepper. When I tasted this one last year I just fell in love with the taste.
